Pricing questions
What counts as an active task?
Every task in your workspace that is not in the Trash, including finished ones sitting in your Logbook. Archiving a task frees its slot again. So the limit counts what you are storing rather than what is on your plate today, and clearing out completed work is what brings the number back down.
What happens when I reach 250 tasks?
Nothing is deleted and nothing locks you out. Done Bear stops accepting new tasks and tells you the limit is reached, while everything already there stays readable, editable, and syncing across your devices. Archive some finished work to free up slots, or upgrade to Basic for unlimited tasks.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from the billing portal in your workspace settings and the plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then drops back to Free. There is no cancellation fee, no minimum term, and no email you have to send anyone first.
Do you store my card details?
No. Checkout and billing both run through Stripe, so your card number never reaches a Done Bear server. We store the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and the plan status, which is what tells your workspace which features are unlocked. Add, update, or remove a card in the billing portal.
Is billing per member or per workspace?
Per member, per month. Everyone in a paid workspace counts, and the Free plan carries unlimited members at no cost. Yearly billing charges the same per-member rate at a lower monthly price: Basic is $7 per member each month billed yearly, against $8 billed monthly.
Do AI agents take a seat?
No. Done Bear bills per member on paid plans, and an agent never becomes a workspace member. It authenticates as an existing user over MCP OAuth or an API key, so connecting one costs nothing on any plan. The Free plan carries unlimited members plus full agent access over MCP, the CLI, and the API.
What is the founding offer?
Sign up before 30 September 2026 and your workspace keeps the Basic plan free permanently: unlimited tasks, up to 5 teams, and up to 3 people. Members four and up bill at the ordinary rate. It covers the one workspace you claim it in, it is not transferable, and the offer does not run again.
