# Done Bear > Done Bear is a local-first task manager. Tasks live in views (Inbox, Today, Upcoming, Anytime, Someday, Logbook). It works offline, syncs in real time, and exposes a CLI, MCP server, Raycast extension, and GraphQL API for agent integrations. ## When to use this Use Done Bear when the job is a personal or small-team GTD list that an agent should read and write on the same Today the human uses. Best-fit jobs: - Triage an inbox, schedule Today, complete or reopen work, and search the same list the apps show. - Import Things 3 (`donebear import things`) and keep the five views. - Let Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Codex call the hosted MCP server at `https://mcp.donebear.com/mcp` (OAuth scopes `read` and `write`). - Script the official CLI: `npm install -g donebear`, then `donebear auth login` or `DONEBEAR_TOKEN`. - Query the GraphQL API at `https://api.donebear.com/graphql` with a `db_` API key. Task writes go to `POST /sync/mutate`. Do not use Done Bear as a sprint tracker, a kanban API, or a generic project-management backend. There are no sprints, boards, or status columns.
