Add Done Bear to Cursor

Use the one-click deeplink or add a short `mcp.json` entry, then sign in with OAuth. Cursor Agent can capture and complete Done Bear tasks while you code.

Add Done Bear to Cursor

Opens Cursor and pre-fills the server. Cursor must already be installed.

Connect Cursor to Done Bear

    Install the server

    Click "Add Done Bear to Cursor", or add the JSON below to a project or global `mcp.json`.

    Enable it and sign in

    Open Agent mode and ask for your Done Bear tasks. The first call opens an OAuth sign-in.

Know before you connect

  • The one-click deeplink only works if Cursor is already installed.
  • Tools are available in Agent / Composer mode, not in plain autocomplete.

Connect securely

  • OAuth 2.1

    Sign in through your browser. Revoke it in Done Bear or by removing the Cursor connector.

  • Read-only and write scopes

    Read-only access cannot create, edit, or complete tasks.

  • Scoped to your workspace

    The connector reaches Done Bear data, not other files on your machine.

The one-click link didn't open Cursor. What now?

Cursor must be installed for the deeplink. If it does not open, add the server manually in `mcp.json`.

Where should the Cursor config live?

Use `.cursor/mcp.json` for one project or `~/.cursor/mcp.json` for every project.
