# Move from TickTick to Done Bear

*Last updated: 2026-09-22*

> Done Bear imports TickTick from the backup CSV the web app generates. Lists, folders, tags, subtasks, due dates and repeating rules come across, and the preview shows every record before anything is written. Checklist-style tasks arrive as one task with their items in the description.

## What to export from TickTick

1. In the TickTick web app, click your avatar, then Settings → Account → Backup and Import.
2. Choose “Generate Backup”, then download the file. The mobile apps can’t make one.
3. Upload the .csv file here.

## What comes across

- Areas and folders (become teams)
- Completed tasks
- Tags and labels
- Projects and lists
- Repeating tasks
- Sub-tasks

## What does not come across

- Attachments
- Checklist-style tasks import as a single task with its items in the description.

## Running the import

On the web, open Settings, then Import, choose TickTick and upload your file. Nothing is written until you confirm the preview. Re-importing adds only what is new, and the completion screen offers an undo that keeps your later edits ([import documentation](/docs/help/importing)). To try it without an account, use the [import playground](/playground/import).

A backup CSV from the TickTick web app, under the avatar menu, Settings, Account, Backup and Import, Generate Backup. The iOS and Android apps cannot make one.

### How do TickTick checklist tasks import?

As one task, with its items in the description, because the backup has no separate records for them.

No. Done Bear reads the backup file you upload and never signs in to TickTick.
