# Add Done Bear to Claude Code

*Last updated: 2026-07-24*

> Run one `claude mcp add` command and sign in with OAuth. Claude Code can then capture and complete Done Bear tasks in your terminal.

**Endpoint:** `https://mcp.donebear.com/mcp`

## Connect Claude Code to Done Bear

1. **Add the server with one command.** Run `claude mcp add --transport http donebear https://mcp.donebear.com/mcp`. Add `--scope user` for every project.
2. **Verify with /mcp and sign in.** Reopen Claude Code to load the config, then run `/mcp`. The first task request opens an OAuth sign-in.

Add the server (default local scope)

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http donebear https://mcp.donebear.com/mcp
```

Register for every project (user scope)

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user donebear https://mcp.donebear.com/mcp
```

## Know before you connect

- `--transport http` is required; without it, Claude Code assumes a stdio command and fails.

## FAQ

### How do I verify Claude Code connected to Done Bear?

Run `/mcp`. If Done Bear is missing, rerun the add command and restart the session.

### Where does Claude Code save the server, and what are scopes?

The current project by default. `--scope user` covers every project; `--scope project` writes a shared `.mcp.json`.
