# Brand guidelines

When you write about Done Bear, use the wordmark or icon, spell the name as two capitalised words, and keep Brand Blue for the mark. Genuine product screenshots are fine in articles and reviews; the bear illustrations are not. Type, colour roles and surfaces for designers live on [/design.md](/design.md).

## Naming

- Write "Done Bear": two words, both capitalised.
- Never write it as "DoneBear", "donebear", "done bear", or "DB".
- In URLs, use one lowercase word, no space: donebear.com.

## Usage

- Do not use the name as a verb (e.g. "I Done Bear'd my tasks").
- Do not combine the name with other words to create new terms.
- Do not use the name in a way that implies endorsement without permission.

## Colours

Values for articles and reviews. Brand Blue is for the logo and wordmark only.

- **Foreground** `#161513`: Primary text and UI elements.
- **Background** `#FBFAF9`: Default background.
- **Surface** `#F8F8F6`: Subtle section surface.
- **Brand Tint** `#CCE1FE`: Soft brand tint for backgrounds and selection.
- **Brand Bright** `#1AAAF4`: Bright accent for illustration and emphasis.
- **Brand Blue** `#0C41F4`: Logo and wordmark only. Never a button, link, or checkbox.

## Logo

A wordmark and an icon, in light and dark.

Do not modify, recolour or distort the marks. Use the wordmark in marketing materials and the logo icon in app contexts.

To request logo files, or permission to use the Done Bear name or logos in editorial or commercial contexts, email [hello@donebear.com](mailto:hello@donebear.com).

## Typography

Inter, a variable font with weights from 100 to 900, sets all text in the product and on the site. Geist Mono sets code.

## Illustration

The bear illustrations are original artwork and are not press assets. To represent Done Bear, use the wordmark or icon. Do not reproduce, redraw or generate imitations of the character.
